you still can't buy In the Middle of the Night directly from Amazon.com. Because of an ebook dispute btwn Amazon and Macmillan, the parent company of St. Martin's True Crime, the giant online bookseller has removed the "add to shopping cart" link on all Macmillan titles including In the Middle of the Night. During the first wave of the controversy surrounding my book, a Facebook group called Ban In the Middle of the Night was formed (one of two) and petitioned Amazon to stop selling ITMOTN. Amazon declined to do so, and in response to the request wrote: "we do support the right of every individual to make their own purchasing decisions."
except, apparently, when Amazon doesn't want to support that right.
latest on hayes: he's back in MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution and all indications are the trial process will start-up again soon. I'll pass along any new info i come with.
